FULL NAME: Justis Alden Young
BIRTHDATE: April 22, 1992
BIRTH WEIGHT: 7 pounds 0 ounces
BIRTH HEIGHT: 20 inches long
I was born in Iowa to Nicole Robertson and Lee Young. Unfortunately my mom and dad didn't stay together, but I know they both love me very, very much. In fact I'm pretty lucky because I have two families who love me. And that means two birthday celebrations and two Christmas' every single year.
In 1995, my Mom and I moved to Wisconsin. Then in 1996 I got a new baby sister. My sister, Britanny and I are pretty close. I could do without her constantly getting in to my stuff, but all in all she's a pretty good sister. Eventually, we moved in to our very first house with Mom's boyfriend, Brian. I really like having my own room. It rocks.
Meanwhile, back in Iowa my family was growing too. Dad and his girlfriend, Christine welcomed my brother, Keaton in 1994. Then Dad and Christine got married in 1997 and renewed their vows in 1998. They got married in Las Vegas, but when they renewed their vows in Iowa, Keaton and I got to be a part of the ceremony. We walked down the aisle together as ringbearers and we lit unity candles with Dad and Christine to show that we are all a very important part of this family. In 1999, Dad and Christine had twins, my brother Spencer and my sister Skyler. And, finally, in 2002 my baby brother, Caleb was born. So we are very big family. Sometimes that is a good thing because there is always someone to play with (or pick on depending on my mood). But other times it really sucks cause I just want to spend a little time by myself.
In 2003, I was slacking a little bit in school. I wasn't getting my homework done and I was missing quite a few days. So Mom and Dad decided it would be a good change of pace for me to move in with dad for a while. So now I'm back in Iowa. It's hard because I miss Mom and Brittany, but I'm adjusting well. I've signed up for band and I'm playing the trumpet. I'm getting pretty good at it too. After the new year I'll have enough practice in to sit and perform with the rest of the band. I'm also going to play basketball starting in December. I can hardly wait. And my grades are getting better. I set a goal of all As, Bs and Cs by the end of the first trimester. If I hadn't gotten that D in science I would have reached my goal. But I'm going to keep trying. I know I have the support of Mom, Brian, Dad and christine so I can do it.
